This past weekend was the girls' 2nd birthday party. Grandma & Grandpa Richards came to town for the occasion, which was great!
I decided on an owl theme this year:
I made shirts with owls on them that say "Look Whoo's Two!" and "I'm a hoot!"
Ella & Aunt Gretchen
Grandma reads the girls a story while we wait for guests to arrive
Time for cake! Nora started eating her cake right away. Ella just poked hers with a fork!
Singing "Happy Birthday" (notice some California Gaubs on the computer via video, singing along!)
Nora & Grandma have cake and ice cream
Daddy & Ella, Grandpa and Joey
The girls open presents
A bowling set!
They get their own baby doll, which Nora feeds right away
The girls and their buddy, Aman, play with Lego animals
On Sunday we went to Linvilla Orchards for their Strawberry Festival and pick-your-own strawberries! It was a hot, sunny day but everyone seemed to have a good time.
(we picked cherries, too!)
No, I didnt eat any strawberries right from the plant...
They also have a playground!
And animals...
...of all kinds!

Oh Lisa! You have to do Henry & Sophia's first birthday! I love it! Its so perfect - I could look at the pictures for hours!
Superb birthday party! My colleague is looking for baby shower ideas and thinking to arrange the same at a nearly located Chicago event venues soon. Want to surprise his wife with her favorite cuisines, cake and sweets. Searching for attractive gifts as well. His ideas and gestures are out of the world. May their love bloom forever.
