As we had the girls' birthday party the weekend before their birthday we decided to take the girls to the Philadelphia Zoo on their birthday, just as we did last year.
Aunt Natalie & Uncle Matt got the girls this cute little easel and their nanny, Gwen, left them a nice birthday message:We got the girls some necklaces to play with. Here Nora proudly wears hers:

(Hi, Heidi!)
While at the zoo, we met up with two other moms and their twins (we all knew we would be there the same day--and we all belong to the Mainline Mothers of Multiples club). The other two sets were identicals, all 3 y/o. Josh & Jared (mom Amy) and Charlotte and Rebecca (mom Allison). We walked around with them for awhile as they new the best places to go and quickest ways to get there
Nora kept trying to get my camera from me and pushed the button during the struggle
Bear fountain
Checking out the polar bears
Twins looking at the giraffes
Everyone checking out the parrot--all was fine until it make a loud sqwak and a couple of the little ones started crying
This is how Ella responded to seeing a gorilla. She never did uncover her face.
Watching the little monkey swing around
The lions
Nora saw this waterfall and yelled, "Water!" running as fast as her little legs would carry her.
A stuffed snow leopard. Toy.
The girls watched the prowling tiger across the yard. Despite numerous attempts, we could not get the girls to notice the tiger sitting a few feet to the right of them.
Nora wanted to push her sister in the stroller and had a huge smile the whole time. It took us forever to get to our eating area. But she was happy!
Lunch. Ella kept taking her shoes off.
The petting zoo. Nora was bold.
Ella preferred to be with Daddy.
Family photo!
Wearing the backpacks from Aunt Mia and Uncle Tim. They will wear these things for hours at a time.
Birthday dinner-pizza!
Mama & daddy also enjoyed a bottle of bubbly--celebrating our survival of the first two years!
Happy Birthday always makes one of them cry. Scary song.
