Babies' First Thanksgiving

The girls had their first Thanksgiving! We had it at the home of our friends, Joey & Andrea. They lived in an apartment next to ours until recently, as they bought a house nearby. They are from Tennessee and weren't going back, so we all spent the day together. They and their daughter, Savannah (5), love to hang out with the girls, so we always get a nice break when we hang out there.

A rare family photo!
The girls actually like having their bib over their faces and put it and leave it up there...weirdos!
Savannah is always trying to pick up and carry around one of the girls...sometimes to our horror!
The girls rolled around on the floor after dinner...
Savannah wanted to borrow the camera so she could take a photo of her baby!
Savannah holding Nora (again!)
Daddy got this great shot...he's so proud!
Daddy was playing around with Nora as Andrea held her and she was laughing so hard--the first she's really laughed like that! As usual, I grabbed my camera just as she was winding down (and with Joey and Savannah loudly playing the Wii in the background), but it's still pretty cute. They never cease to amaze us.

the girls get their own room

This past weekend we finally moved the girls out of our room and into their own. We built the second crib and now they have their own in which to move around. Here are a few other pics as well.

Nora took a nap in the chair...

Ella is getting flexible...doing this makes her giggle!
Mama was reading the girls a story (Horton Hears a Who) and they held hands as they listened. Had to take a picture. So Cute!
Here is the new setup. The girls are now in their own cribs in their own room. They seem to have adjusted quicker than we have!
Here is a little video of Ella giggling and Nora talking. Of course, it takes a few tries once the camera is rolling to get Ella to laugh (it gets heartier by the day!). Nora was talking up a storm and overpowers the video from the beginning. She can go on like this for 45 minutes! It's hard to tell, but Ella really does do a good job of standing and "walking". They are so fun.

getting cuter every day!

Grandma Richards came to visit this week while Daddy was in Boston on business.
We had a lot of fun!

Nora likes her jumper seat...even though she cant really jump yetNora (AKA Aunt Jemimah)
Silly Ella in her new pants...I love them--they are covered in cute little monkeys!

Grandma Richards handles double duty well!

They girls hanging out together on the couch. When I picked up Ella her pants were wet...from where Nora was sucking on her leg!

Five Months Old

It's hard to believe it's already been, and only been, five months since the girls were born...Nora in a head scarf
Ella with her new favorite toy. She also loves the rag. This moment was joyous for her...
