Giving you more to look at

Nora is too cool for school (for now)
This is how we can tell Ella likes a cartoon:
Eating snacks, kicking each others' feet
She's nuts!
Nora is a rock star
A typical scene: one girl after the other,
across the room...
...cruising on the furniture
We're getting there. Yeah, Grandpa!

Just Because...

I mean, they are just darned cute, so why not post lots o' pictures of the buggers!

Here is Nora enjoying a little ride on a little car:Then Ella becomes curious
Now Ella gets a turn
Nora: "Like my ride?"
Ella doing baby yoga pose. She really needs to start her own studio...
The girls got a bubble machine (powered by Elmo, of all people) and are still trying to figure out what's going on:

The girls ate waffles with us this morning at the big girl table. Yes. Andrew also sits there. They are starting to get the hang of forks. Though, sometimes I think they want to be like He-Man: ("I have the powerrrrrrr!")
(seriously now!--look at her!)
More cute pictures from today: (though Ella looks a little crazy here!)

His Music will Live On...

I have to acknowledge the passing of a great music legend and fellow Hoosier, Michael Jackson. I have been a big fan of his music since my parents bought his Thriller album (on cassette tape, of course) and we listened to it endlessly as kids. I recall watching a tv special about MJ that we taped on VHS over and over again. I remember creating an extensive dance performance of "Thriller" with my cousin Megan and performed it in the basement for our parents. I am still known to bust out a few Thriller moves at a party if I'm feeling bold. We watched Captain EO at Disney World when we were young. I dont dispute the guy's eccentricities, but his music and performances were amazing. I admittedly have a DVD of his music videos. Hello, "Moonwalker", anyone? And I had to post a pic of my Thriller vinyl.
Ahh, and my sister, Mia, has reminded me that while our house was being built (I was about 5 years old at the time) I fell backwards ten feet down into the hole that was to be the basement of the house--I was trying to show her how to moonwalk and wasnt paying attention! Luckily the power of the moonwalk saved me from serious injury.
I have been playing MJ's music for the girls all morning. The seemed amused, yet confused as they ate blueberries and watched Mama sing and dance to "Wanna Be Startin' Something".

RIP MJ

She may be a kittie

I was tending to something...and I realized I hadnt heard Ella in awhile. I found her in our bedroom playing with a ball of yarn. Had to grab the camera. So cute.

I sat Nora on the floor and she joined in:

Mr. Goi Goi's Twin

For those very familiar with the girls, you know Ella loves to cuddle with her little friend, Mr Goi Goi (named for the sound she makes as she holds him and sucks her thumb). Nora has really developed an interest in him and has enjoyed cuddling with him when Ella wasnt looking. Well, thanks to Grandma G, Nora now has her own Mr. Goi Goi! She likes to crawl around with him in her mouth (much like a doggie:)

Here the girls hang out with the guys:
Here are a few pics of the girls hanging out in the kitchen this afternoon:
(the cutest face!)

I had to include a shot of Ella taking her nap yesterday:
We're thinking of you, Grandpa R! We hope to see you soon so the girls can clap when you yell "Grandpa!"

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the wonderful men in our lives. It's Daddy's 2nd Father's Day--he's starting to get the hang of it!

Grandpa Richards/Papasan/Big Daddy: Wish we were there!

Grandpa Gaub/Poppi: Glad you could be here for the first birthday. Visit us again as soon as you can!

We wish we could be with all of you today. WE LOVE YOU!

Some Firsts

The girls had their first playdate this weekend with "little" Aman.He got such a kick out of the girls. Ella was still a little unsure...
Nora was also checking him out, but she was acting silly most of the time, making faces at everyone
Aman sat up on his own for the very first time at our place! Had to take a picture...
Later that day, the girls attended their very first friend birthday party. Savannah, the daughter of our friends Joey & Andrea turned six past week. She had a hula/pool party with her friends and the girls were invited. It was pretty rainy during the afternoon, which didnt stop the big kids form jumping in the pool. When Savannah was done swimming, she decided she was cold and wore her coat for the rest of the party, while her friends sat around in their wet swimsuits (without a complaint!):

...and get leis (Ella wasnt fond of hers)
