"Come Back, Dada!"

Getting the girls used to the potty continues. I dont think they are quite ready yet, but it should be relatively painless when they are (I hope!)
Nora found Mama's slippers and walked around the apartment wearing them

Both girls were lying on the floor having a fit for different reasons (which I cant recall). Nora calmed herself down by sucking her thumb. It was pretty amusing...to me.
Ahh, the typical parenting scene. Andrew went into the bathroom to have a shower and Ella stood at the door yelling at him, saying "Come back, Dada!" (among other things I could not understand...though it sounds like she says "I really like you!" at one point). I started recording this after she had been standing in front of the door for a couple of minutes! Daddy's girl...

I went to get the girls up from their nap and Nora told me she wanted to sit on the "potty", then wanted her pj's "off", then wanted to wear a "hat". Gotta love toddler thinking!Ella really does take after her Daddy!

Ella has a meltdown (reason unknown)!

Nora was in a good mood (and tried to cheer her sissy up)
Nora wanted to see what Daddy was up to
Cutie pies, ready for church!

Movin (and Growin) on Up!

My girls are getting bigger and more "grown" (so they think) every day. Here they are playing with their blocks. Daddy was helping.

Ella and Night Night Man.
Nora and "baby".
Ye-haw!
Nora, like her Mama, cleaning off the table (with a wipe).

Nora, "drawing" on her magnetic pad. With her frog hand puppet.
One of Ella's fav things to do these days is take the bag of blocks, dump them all on the floor and walk back and forth, kicking them. Weird child.

Daddy came home from work. The girls wanted to wear his hat and gloves.

Two puppets, one girl.

Bath robes.
We bought a potty this week. Trying to get the girls used to it so that when the time comes it shouldnt be too hard for them to figure out what to do. Ella loves sitting on the thing. Nothing has actually "happened" while sitting on the potty yet, but it's cute regardless!

Blitzing Into the New Year

As we move into "Twenty-Ten", we have been keeping busy around this place! Here is the evidence:

Here the girls finally wear coats Aunt Heidi bought them about a year ago! Cute.Nineteen months, going on nineteen years...

The girls sitting under a high chair. I think it's cute.
They got bath finger pants for Christmas. Here was the first encounter...Nora loved it and kept asking to have it squirted all over her. Ella was a little more hesitant.

Then they decided to take turns tasting it...

The girls REALLY love the new blocks they got. Nora and Mama put together this tower. Nora spent some time checking out the craftsmanship.
Yeah! Blocks!

I'm a big girl!
Ella wanted to check out the commotion.
We found a few spare blocks on the floor, and this was Nora's way of handling the situation. She was so proud!
On this day, Nora wanted to wear a bib while she played.
Today was the 1st birthday party for our little buddy, Aman!
Aman and his daddy, Roy.
Daddy & Ella in their party hats.

Aman blows out his candle.
The boys and mama, Kenya, opening gifts.
Aman and his gift from N&E: a drum and music set just like they have! He was already banging on it and having a blast. They will all have to start a band soon. I'm pretty sure it should happen.
Here is a cute little video for cousin Lincoln. We had just put up a photo of him on the wall.
