First snow

We just got back in from the cold...we're up to 9 inches so far! This is was the girls' "first" [memorable] snow. Nora was not too sure. Ella loved it.

It's the final countdown! da da da da da

Ok. So, at the prompting of Grandparents Gaub we are posting a few more pics and a video.
So, yeah. Cute girls. They still love the hats:

They were cuddling on the couch today. I took Ella off of Nora and she whined, so I had to put her back on:

A longish video...I pulled out some toys the girls got last year for Christmas (from the g-parents) because they are finally old enough to play properly with them. While they were napping I set them out in the living room. Ella was the first to wake up and she couldn't handle it...holy cow--look at this new stuff in our house!--she didnt know what to do, or play with, or touch. I encouraged her to go get her sissy--who was still sleeping (but needing to get up), so she kept running back to their room, trying to wake up Nora. It was really funny. I started filming her after several minutes, so one could only imagine the intensity at the start...i know the quality of the film isnt the best (the bedroom was really dark for a few seconds), but you (Grandparents Gaub) will hopefully get a kick out of it. Crazy babies. (I showed this to Andrew and he started crying he was laughing so hard...)

Christmas Countdown

Only 11 days until Christmas! The girls have been getting used to the colder weather, snow (we had it for one day!), and new toys! We pulled out some gifts from last Christmas that they are finally old enough to play with. Ella became overwhelmed with the options and nearly fell over with dizzying excitement! Then last night our friends, the Meltons, came over and brought gifts for the girls. If they are acting this crazy now, I can hardly imagine how they will respond to Christmas!
Here are some recent photos of the little lassies:

Ella, wearing Daddy's hat.Hey!
I think Nora really looks like a "big girl" here.
Ella looks like she has just been caught doing something wrong...
Blueberries for dessert
Dapper ladies.

Nora rolled herself up in a blanket on the floor.
Cheesy face!

We had to bundle the girls in real coats on Friday because it was SOOOO cold! They were not happy. This was the only pic we got of the fiasco.Ella roaming the living room (in last year's Christmas pj's from Aunt Pat!)
The girls are finally sitting long enough to let us read them a book (the current book of choice is Merry Christmas, Mouse!).
Our friends the Meltons brought some gifts for the girls last night.
Here are their new "crocs". So cute!

They got a new singing, fridge, animal puzzle game. They are very into it! They try to skip meals just so they can rush to the fridge.
