Crib Play

Havent posted a video in awhile. Neither girl wanted to take their morning nap, so they ended up playing in Nora's crib together for 45 minutes. They seemed to have a good ole time playing and talking. Today--for the first time ever--Nora cried because I took her OUT of the crib (right after this video was shot). These are the moments that make having twins wonderful.

sweet babies

I took some photos today of the girls in their really cute little jumpers. I saw these at Target for $1.49 and had to get them. Luckily, today was a warm day and they could romp around in them. The last couple are the girl in their tv-watching chairs (so they dont lean on the tv stand as they watch). They sat for along time in them today (which is a big improvement, as they usually want to stand on them or push them around the room:) They are becoming such big girls!

Relaxing weekend in CT

We spent the weekend at the new home of our Hoosier friends, in Connecticut. We had not seen them since New Years last year, so it was nice to catch up and check out their lovely new house. Teri and I had a girls' spa day then we all spent the rest of the afternoon grilling and drinking sparkling wine on the back deck (well, the girls drank milk). Here are pics from the weekend:

The girls checking out the book selection. They are elitists already (blame Daddy):The most popular toys of the weekend: cat toys.
Daddy holding Ella, who is holding a mouse (cat toy)
Andrew & Teri have baby dance party in the kitchen:
Teri works for a bookseller in New Haven. Here is a picture of the shop:
Nora hanging out in the shop. I gave her a tube of lipstick which she thought was a toy. Lid on, lid off. Lid on, lid off.
Teri & Francis with the girls. I held up the lipstick tube to get the girls to look up. Francis also looked at it:)
On the way home we stopped in New Jersey to have lunch with our friends Joel and Jody. We made time for video games. And the girls' wanted to help Daddy with his drumming:
This morning. This was soooooooo cute. I had just gotten them out of bed and they snuggled on the couch. Ella was rubbing Nora's head. Right after this, Ella sat up and Nora laid with her head in Ella's lap for awhile. ADORABLE.
Ella wearing her "Peanut" outfit from Aunt Mia. Appropriate!
They are cute. And in case you didnt know, Ella now has 8 teeth and Nora walks like a pro. Big girls!

The Nightman Cometh

Here are some pics and a few videos from last night's live performance of "The Nightman Cometh" from the cast of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". It was awesome. My only complaint is I wish I were closer (we were in the balcony). It was everything we expected and more. For those who have seen the final episode from last season, this was the live version of the entire episode. For those who dont know, "The Troll"/Frank is played by Danny Devito. Everybody knows that guy!
We also got to watch a scene from their upcoming Christmas special and the first episode of the new season. It's about the drinking game "flippy cup", which I just learned of during our last trip to Indiana. In the episode they wear shirts that say "Flipadelphia" and instigate flippy cup rivalries. Enough said.

On to the performance
Charlie's poster. Awesome:The "rehearsal" of the musical:

Dress rehearsal
Nightman and the Troll
Not the best shot, but had to get Nightman/Mac doing his karate moves
Baby Boy becomes Dayman and kills the Troll
Charlie suddenly appears in his bright yellow suit. If you havent seen the episode, I wont ruin it by telling you why:)
I inadvertently put the videos in reverse order. The first is the "Nightman" song, the second is Danny Devito singing about paying the troll toll, and the third is Dee singing about her love for the Baby Boy. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. (By the way, the 4th season DVD has a special feature that includes a live performance much like we saw last night. Sweet.)

There's more than corn in Indiana...

Here are some photos of our week in Indiana:

Grandma and Grandpa Richards with the girlsThe girls have their first experience climbing up stairs, at the Troyers'

The girls watch the Backyardigans (their favorite) on G&G's BIG tv! We brought in some kiddie chairs to keep Ella from standing directly in front of the tv to watch it

Mia & Tim Got Married

Here are some photos from Mia (my sister) and Tim's wedding day in Ft. Wayne, Indiana this past weekend. It was a flurry of preparations and activity.

Here is a pic of the reception hall. Mia personally created a different centerpiece for each of the 26 tables. We set these up that morning. The cake:

[This is where wedding photos would be if I had taken any! Since I was in the wedding and Andrew "doesnt do photos", we jump to the reception!]

Mia & Tim. First dance.
